Christmas
is past and New year is coming! Gather your friends and family to celebrate these
happy moment in a dedicated party! These are 12 things that you need to prepare
as a host/hostress. Add them to your to-do list!
To
set a Budget: First
of all, you must decide how much you should spend on this party. At least you should
have a purchase plan. Then you can set a budget for each component of the day
(food, drinks, decor, outfit, etc) and stick to it!
To choose a Date:
The best date is the day when everybody is free and able to join. Schedule
earlier, and it gives enough time for your close family and friends to align
with their plan.
To make a Guest List:
Normally, you hope your guest list to be very small. Your closest friends and
family members should be invited to the celebration. A big guest list will probably
lead to a mess. Remember your goal is always to score your close friends and
family members.
To choose a place:
Absolutely you have to consider all the place options and how they fit the vibe
you are going for. In your house? At a restaurant? Moreover, you should think
about the number of guests (though you made a guest list in advance, you can’t
expect anything.) , and the budget you are working with.
To register for Gifts:
If you don’t want
gifts, be sure to include a note on the invitation ‘No gifts please!’. But if you
want, you had better to consider registering for others gifts. When
your party registry can have no limit, opt for small to medium sized gifts or
even cash/items for your engagement party registry.
To send Invitations: You
should mail or email your invitations a little bit early before
your party. If you have a theme, it is interested to associate that with your
invitation.
To make a Menu: It
is necessary to keep the menu simple and low-cost, sticking to the budget. If you
host the party at a restaurant, make a smaller menu and comfirm with the restaurant
in advance. If party is in your house, to provide a buffet or catered is always
a good plan.
To place Decorations: No
need place too many decorations, which would make others
feel festive. Try to personalized place settings is enough!
